Following the filing of a Writ of Habeas Corpus on behalf of the paternal grandparents who had not seen their grandchildren in over eighteen months, Mr. LoFrumento successfully negotiated weekend overnight visitation between the grandparents and their grandchildren.

The Firm hosted its annual Holiday Party. This year’s theme was "Martinis and Mistletoe" and was a rousing success thanks to Party Doll Events.

November 2011
Mr. LoFrumento successfully argued on behalf of his client the Defendant-Wife that the Plaintiff-Husband be found in contempt for his failure to pay spousal support pursuant to the parties’ Judgment of Divorce. The Defendant-Husband’s sanctions have been set down for a hearing.

Practice Areas:
Michael F. LoFrumento joined the firm in 2001 and became a partner in 2008. His practice includes matrimonial and family law and personal injury.

Mr. LoFrumento's extensive matrimonial and family law experience involves both divorce and post-divorce litigation and appellate practice, including equitable distribution, complex business valuations of multi-million dollar companies, custody, relocation, parental access, support, enforcement and modification issues. In addition to divorce and post-divorce litigation, Mr. LoFrumento prepares pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements.

Given his expertise in matrimonial and family law, Mr. LoFrumento assists in teaching “Family Law Skills” at Hofstra Law School, which is a course designed to teach second and third year law students the practical skills necessary to successfully navigate their clients through a divorce.

Mr. LoFrumento's personal injury experience involves complex litigation and appellate practice regarding traumatic brain injury, automobile accidents, construction site accidents, municipal liability and slip and fall accidents.

 

Personal:
Mr. LoFrumento has a wonderful family that includes his remarkable wife, Mary, and beautiful children, Ava and Michael. He is an avid sports fan who enjoys playing tennis and golf.
